Q1. We are not able to confirm if any data is collected while using MS Teams Plug-in for Proloborate. If so, what data do you collect? 

Answer

The data stored from MS Teams do not contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII), However, MS Teams preserves the essential configuration details of the Prolaborate instance, such as user settings, permissions, and access controls. 

Q2. When we share files to Prolaborate, would that file be stayed in our server only? 

Answer

When you add a file as a linked document (attachment) in Prolaborate, it stays within the EA DB on your server. 

Q3. Is there data transfer between Sparx server and our server? 

Answer

When using Sparx and MS Teams, we only provide a link to share information and do not actually transfer any data 

Q4. How do the updates work for Prollaborate? I mean updating the actual MS plugin software? 

Answer

Manual updates are required for any new addition or modification to the MS Teams plugin.

Who does the update? 

Answer

MS Teams Addin for Prolaborate is hosted on Azure app server. Customers need to install it once. Updates will be pushed to the App server hosted in Azure. Teams addon support both V3.x and 4.x, no separate addon. 

If our team does, how are they be informed the new update is released? 

Answer

We will regularly communicate the updates via our website to keep our customers informed about the enhancements. If there is a need for an update, please let us know, and we will promptly provide it to you. 

How often the updates are released? 

Answer

Since our use case for MS Teams Addin is very limited and the product is a matured one. Hence there may be a 1 or 2 updates each year. Generally, depends on Microsoft modifying Teams libraries or frameworks. 

Q6. Could you please elaborate on what runs on Azure? Who manages the Azure environment? 

Answer

  1. We have hosted the Prolaborate Macro in Azure Server, the account is owned by our team. 
  2. Any minor change or new feature we develop will be published to Azure and via Azure server the new changes are pushed to the Prolaborate Macro on your team's account. The Macro is never installed on your local machine it is added to your MS Teams account. 
  3. How ever if there is a major change in technology used for development or architecture, MS Teams will allow submission post review. We submit the app for review to MS Team Development Team. They will review and approve the Marco post that customers need to update themselves. This may happen once every 2 or 3 years.

Q7: I am unable to integrate MS Teams with Prolaborate .

Answer

Since, you are using Prolaborate Growing Teams Edition, Prolaborate integrations (Confluence Server, Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Teams) are available only as an add on.
