Q1:Connectors keep disappearing from the Diagram

Description

  1. A connector is drawn in a sequence diagram, the diagram is then saved and closed.
  2. When reopening the diagram, the connector just disappears from the diagram.
  3. The issue seems to occur only in one or two diagrams in the entire model.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the diagram (Diagram1) in the QEA file attachment.
  2. Create a connector between two elements (e.g., Actor1 and Actor2) in the sequence diagram.
  1. Save and close the diagram.

  1. Upon reopening the diagram, the connector is no longer present.

Remediation

  1. After further investigation, we found that the Freeze Visible Connectors option was enabled in the diagram. This means that any new connectors added to the diagram will be hidden and is very useful when adding connectors between the same elements on a different diagram.
  2. To disable this option, Open the properties docked window (Ribbon > Start > Design > Properties) and disable the Freeze Visible option.

Email Response

(Response to Disable to Freeze Visible Connectors.)

Hi <Customer>,

Thank you for the email.

We have investigated and found that the issue occurred as the Freeze Visible Connectors option has been enabled. This option means that any new connectors added to a diagram will be hidden and is most useful when adding connectors between the same elements on a different diagram.

To disable this option, open the Properties docked window (Ribbon > Start > Design > Properties) and clear the Freeze Visible option.
